Choose My Dot Com is a trading name operated by Baruch Spiegel, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what information we process when you use the service and why.

Information we collect
- The description of your idea, project or business that you submit.
- The email address you provide to receive your results.
- Basic technical metadata about the request (timestamp, a salted hash of the sending IP for abuse prevention).
Purpose and lawful basis
We process this information to perform the service you have requested (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — performance of a contract requested by you) and to operate the service securely (Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests in preventing abuse and diagnosing faults). Sending your requested-results email does not create an account or a marketing subscription; we do not send marketing.
Service providers
To deliver the service we rely on the following categories of processor. Each processes information only to run the specific step described:
- Application hosting and database — hosted infrastructure that runs the website and stores your submitted description, email and results record.
- AI name generation — an AI provider that generates candidate names from your description.
- Domain availability checks — Verisign RDAP, the authoritative registry for .com. Only candidate domain names are sent to this public registry lookup; your email address and idea description are not shared with it.
- Transactional email delivery — an email service that delivers your results email from the sending-only address
results@choosemydotcom.com.
Where these providers act as processors on our behalf they process personal data only to run the specific step described above. The Verisign RDAP lookup is a public registry service and does not receive your email address or idea description. Some providers are located outside the UK; where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Retention
Search records (description, email, generated names, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and diagnostics, and are then deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing the address above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to portability. To exercise a right, email bsappsupport@gmail.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and analytics
The service does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary storage required for the site to function.
